  1. Cybertruck-Making it uniquely yours.

Not using mine for a business but thinking I might put a wrap on the doors. Even with using FSD, I'd like to know which CT is mine in a parking lot filled with them in the future!
  2. Morgan Stanley: Tesla losing market share to Ford Mustang Mach-E

Don't know if they should get too excited about Ford sales. I'm guessing the Ford numbers are for Mach E sales and not deliveries. https://insideevs.com/news/491806/mustang-mache-delays-1000-off-free-charging/ Hoping Ford does get it sorted out tho. Every BEV sale is one less ICE sale.
  3. Tesla Please Do This

I agree with OCS12. But to me it is more the big picture. Tesla has had to be very smart on how they use their capital. And I'd rather they spend every spare dime on more charging stations, service centers, gigafactories, battery production and engineering than spend a dime on marketing. A great...
  4. Cybertruck Horn

First thoughts are either a)Elmer Fudd doing "Fire" or b)Iron Butterfly's "I am the god of Hellfire". But I do wish that Tesla would have separate settings for sounds of the horn and the pedestrian warning sound. The wife said she would like Cookie Monster doing "Om Nom Nom".
  5. Who's planning on a Cybertruck factory pickup / delivery

Had a friend in NC when we lived there. He was expat British and had a friend from England that though it would be a great idea to rent a huge SUV in Atlanta and drive to Boston like an American. He made it to North Carolina and bought an airline ticket to Boston. Most Europeans hove NO idea at...
  6. CyberTruck Insurance Cost

Yeah, can't wait for them to expand their coverage past Cali. Imagine an insurance company that doesn't spent a bunch of money on advertising and making sure they are as profitable as possible(within state regs).
  7. Earliest Cybertrucks may get federal tax credit (400k more Teslas will qualify under GREEN Act)

Doubt my CT reservation will qualify with the spot I have, but once it's passed I'll put an order on for a Model Y. With the number of new orders they'll have once a tax credit is passed, I don't think there will be many CT orders that qualify. Still think they should eliminate the manufacturer...
  8. EV Tax Incentive [closed due to political discussions]

The incentives when they were introduced tried to do 2 things. 1) Encourage buyers with a tax discount to help adoption. 2) Incentivize manufacturers to build EV/hybrid vehicles with a bigger market possibility. I don't see the manufacturers incentive as a good carrot anymore. With Tesla/VW and...
  9. New 4680 Battery Cell Factory in Raleigh North Carolina

So when they say "Tesla Energy", I'm guessing that the production will be earmarked for the Powerwalls and Megapacks. Don't recall that any of the Battery Day presentation discussed how the 4680 cells would benefit the Powerwall and Megapack batteries, but more density and faster charging and...
  10. You get one question answered

I guess mine is more of a show and tell. Lets see you repeat the 'hammer the door and throw a steel ball at the window'. I'm sure they fixed it, but the PR from doing that would maybe get more sales. Would also like to see them back up the 'It will float for a short time'. Ice fishers in the...
  11. Apple iCar -- Your Thoughs?

I'm not concerned about Apple getting into the car business either. They could buy a car company with the cash they have for the manufacturing assets and vendors needed. But it would be a long time to break even much less make any money for the next decade. I'm more interested in the BEV...
  12. Car designer Frank Stephenson's view on the Cybertruck

Well if you've ever driven a Chevrolet Lumina APV or Pontiac Trans Sport, you would know that GM cares not about the front distance viewing. The company I worked for in the 90s bought those POS's and they were all around terrible(except maybe the seats). As far as an exotic car/plane designer...
  13. Naming your CyberTruck

From Greek mythology Astrape Bronte Zeus From Blade Runner BladeRunner Spinner Deckard Syd From wife Tonka Sprocket(Fraggle Rock) From SpaceX Falcon Starship Surprised no one has brought up a Blade Runner themed name. Not a Star Wars type blockbuster but the CT as about as close to those...
  14. Cybertruck reliability concerns?

I view my purchase of a CT as the last pickup I'll probably ever buy. Little issues like panel gaps are not a big issue to me and some of the smaller nitpick items I may be able to fix my self. But my location in NW North Dakota has given me pause about buying a Tesla. The nearest service...
  15. Is the additional range from the single motor to the dual worth $10k?

AWD is a necessity for me and the lack of charging options in my area make a dual motor the minimum option for me. And I CAN'T wait to get my CT. Waiting another year seems unbearable on top of the year and a half(at least)wait for a dual motor.
