This would be exterior requirements. Its the same reason that the Ford Raptor and the Ram TRX have the extra 3 ambers on the front. They exceed the width as they are wide body versions of their respective trucks.

Dont know the exact width but its at least 80in because of the Front Identification lights. The 3 extra Ambers required by NHSTA.
