  1. Permanent stealth mode from police radar / laser?

Much will depend on the headlights. Most of the time when cos run laser they put the dot on one of the headlight buckets and get the reflection from there. That is why it is near impossible to beat a prepared Officer in court when they used laser. Radar is more general and reflects off of the...
  2. I want to sell my CYBRTRK

All good! My comment wasn't really directed at you, more just thinking "out loud." Just I've heard many, both here and other places online, make the statement that the CT is "huge" when, in fact, it is exactly the average size pick up truck here in the US. So, my comment was for everyone - not...
  3. I want to sell my CYBRTRK

Um. I guess? I've lived in the southern US most of my adult life (FL to Texas). Pick up trucks just feel normal to me - as a driver or as an occupant of another/smaller car. But, I've never lived in an Uber city area where they weren't common. So, anecdotal for each person, I guess. I'm just...
  4. I want to sell my CYBRTRK

I think you missed the part in my comment that stated "UNLESS" My comment was directed at US consumers - NOT, European consumers! Glad you were able to get the rant out. I just think it wasn't correctly applied at me. :-)
  5. I want to sell my CYBRTRK

I would recommend that you educate your wife on the fact that the CT is the SAME size as the other big 3 "normal" sized trucks in the US. It isn't huge - just normal sized. The CT dimensions are pretty much the averages of the length/width/height of the F150 and 1500 GM/Dodge trucks! I don't...
  6. Why no HUD? (On any Tesla?)

I had a HUD device I purchased on Kickstarter (the company charged way too much after launch and it went under). The device was AWESOME. I could have turn by turn navigation easily displayed, my current speed (it changed colors if I was over the speed limit and again if I was more than ten...
  7. Elon Musk teases ‘lots of improvements’ for the production Cybertruck

Yes, sir. It would be convenient. It would even help with PARKING - A LOT! The architecture for four wheel steering and "Crab" would be almost the same - so, if they do one then the other would just be a software addition. But, the way Tesla does things is to produce vehicles with limited...
  8. FSD will get $2k price increase 10/29

Tesla is constantly changing pricing. They did (not sure if they still do) offer a cheaper/limited version of FSD. Just because they say one thing today doesn't mean that is how it will be tomorrow. I, completely, agree with the FSD license "to go with us" part! Right now, if one purchases a...
  9. Elon Musk teases ‘lots of improvements’ for the production Cybertruck

When I first heard about EM's comment my first thoughts were: 1) He will most likely attempt to have the CT match the 6" of air suspension travel that the Hummer is claiming. This is something that should be able to be accomplished without altering the truck architecture all that much. 2) Minor...
  10. FSD will get $2k price increase 10/29

The way I imagine this going is that Tesla will, eventually, offer several levels of FSD at different price points. Example: Assisted driving level 1: assisted highway driving and emergency alerts = 3000 FSD level 2: level 1 plus auto park, veh returns to you from parking space, etc = 7000 FSD...
  11. First Cybertruck specific supercharger spots have been approved

Two thoughts: 1) I disagree with some comments posted here about the need for pull through stalls for the CT. Yes, it might not be "much" of a pain to disconnect and reconnect a trailer. But, MOST people who haul the trailers will NOT want to do so on a regular basis! If Tesla is serious...
  12. If a full size AND mid size Cybertruck were available, what size would you order?

If I can't put a short stack of plywood flat in the bed of the truck - it isn't an option. If I'm going to get a truck I'm going to get one that will haul whatever I need. Getting a smaller truck would only be a consideration if a) I didn't need it to haul stuff and b) it was a LOT cheaper to...
  13. Jim Cramer: GM Has Nothing, It's All About Electric Vehicles

Obviously, we have different use cases as a smaller CT means I can't haul as much - specifically full sheets of plywood laying flat in the bed if the truck. But, I agree with you that making a decision before products are even being produced on the marketplace to review is not prudent There...
  14. Cybertruck RTI (Ramp Travel Index) specs

I'm, most likely, wrong - but, my recollection was that the 4" number was the travel for the adjustable air suspension. And NOT the overall suspension travel. The way I heard it the 4" would be how much the truck would raise and lower automatically (if set to do so) while driving - higher speeds...
  15. New Battery Range & Pack Architecture [Announced at Battery Day]

Exactly, that was why I stated "Yes, that is exactly where Tesla should focus their efforts." :-) And, I also agree, that it sounds like Tesla needs to work on the battery splitting/charging.
  16. New Battery Range & Pack Architecture [Announced at Battery Day]

I guess that all depends on the state you live in and where to work you need to do is located. Yes, that is exactly where Tesla should focus their efforts. But, I keep thinking of persons who work in rural areas. Granted, I live in Texas and like many of the mountain states there are large areas...
  17. CT trailer with built in battery pack.

Yeah.... Might not be with it for a 500 mile tri-motor. But, could really be worth it for the lower range models. Also, when removed the packs could be designed so they could be plugged into a solar home system as additional battery backup power. And, if used for a work truck this could...
  18. New Battery Range & Pack Architecture [Announced at Battery Day]

I understand. I don't think I'm communicating my intent to you at all! The regen of the TRUCK isn't as significant to the overall range BECAUSE of the additional power needed to move the trailer. That the trailer doesn't have regen braking is "duh" to me and understood. I'm saying the same...
  19. New Battery Range & Pack Architecture [Announced at Battery Day]

Yes, sir. It's been said. But, not everyone is aware. So, never hurts to repeat it!
  20. New Battery Range & Pack Architecture [Announced at Battery Day]

Exactly, which was why I was starting that when towing/hauling up/down steep grades the regen isn't as significant as related to how much power is used to ascend. And, that regen is more comparable when the truck is used as a passenger vehicle. Makes one surprised that regen trailer brakes...
