I am one of those people at first that thought it was a joke. When I realized it wasn't a joke I immediately said nope. To be honest I thought it was ugly as sin. But I kept coming back to look at the pictures again and again. Then I thought of something I hadn't before. Maybe the Cybertruck is doing a little bit more. And what happened then, what can I say? My small heart grew three sizes that day. And the minute my heart didn't feel quite so tight, I went to Tesla.com and made a reservation that night.

That's about all I have to say about that.

I had just taken the Model S and 3 for a test drive ( a 6-hour drive to Jacksonville, FL) and was preparing to place an order for an S and I was lamenting on what to do with my back-up vehicle, my truck, do I keep it, do give it away, questions filled my mind, (add somber background music). She is my fun machine, my firewood hauler, my stuff mover. It was a difficult choice. I could no longer justify keeping two vehicles on my side of the garage, (wifey keeps her little Honda). I knew I would have to say adios to the Accord and the F-150 but grown-ups have to make those hard decisions, right?. But then the reveal changed the dynamics of everything, well on the morning of November 22nd it was goodbye Accord, goodbye F-150, hello CyberTruck. Done. Now that was easy. Life's decisions, sometimes you just have to wait a while and the truth is revealed.

6 months ago I watched the unveiling live with my wife. Our mouths dropped open when it came on stage, almost not believing what we were seeing. I was immediately captivated by the design, though even I thought it was somewhat ugly at first presentation on the stage. The features and specs really made me want it, and my wife immediately gave me the go-ahead and I started refreshing the order page on my phone to place my order as soon as they were available.

It feels like its been longer then six months to be honest. I keep waiting for more sightings and information on it. Watching this segment from CNBC on the upcoming Jay Leno’s garage episode that features it has me pumped again. Every time I see it moving, or see the interior, in a live video shot makes me want it more. Waiting for it is hard, but I have done it before when waiting for the Model 3, so I can do it again.

At least the wait lets me allocate money to my CyberTruck budget each month, and there is something to be said to looking forward to something even if you really want it right now.
