Anyone want to help explain what the “T” system in the bed is. What accessories go with that? Just eye bolts and ratchet straps, or it there more to it?

Perhaps this link will help: T Slot Nut for Toyota Tunda

Essentially they insert, or some slip into the track, and stay when you turn them, then you can add a bolt or something to use as a tie-down.

The floor T-Slot is good but it does not stop there, also located on the interior walls are Ltrack anchors. See the following for an explanation from their website. Trust me you are gonna like this. (Retired USCG HC-130 LoadMaster)

See Demo video on youtube:

Airline track is also known as L-track or ltrack, with the name originating from its use in the airline industry. The track is installed on the floor of the aircraft, with the seats attaching to the track rather than the aircraft itself. These aircraft seat tracks allow for secure attachment of the seats, but with the option of moving or removing the seats quickly as needed simply by removing them from the track.

This versatile design has also been adapted for the tie down industry since it offers both secure attachment, and endless options. This particular line is a great choice if you need something with a little more strength than our regular aluminum L-track. Made from a high quality grade 6351 aluminum, it boats a heftier " thickness and 1-3/8" width.

Our airline L- track is designed with pre-drilled holes that are countersunk so there are not holes that are no unusable openings.

Although this track is wider and thicker than other similar track, it still has a low profile that's ideal for truck beds and other tight spaces. Its square edges also allows for a recessed installation for a smooth, flush surface. It also accepts all of our L-track tie down system accessories, including single and double fittings, and aircraft seat track cover.

It's important to note that while many heavier-duty airline track for tie downs are stronger than typical tie-downs, not all are certified by the FAA for use in the airline industry as seat track; it should be used only as intended in tie down applications.

For more track tie down options, including painted L-track, an angled design track, and a track that can be installed in a recessed application, see our entire L-track category page.
