Wouldnt that just blind everyone?
I don’t think so. I have never heard of anyone complaining a polished airstream blinded them

Of course it is hard for them to complain if they were blinded and ended up dying in a crash.

I am pretty sure they must have looked into it. Airstream has been around since the 20’s

I have a piece of mirrored stainless for testing. Its difficult just to be around in the sun. As the reflectionis probably 98% as bright as the sun. Even if it wasn't fully mirrored, the flat surfaces would be horrible and a safety issue. I think.
Infact even the CT as it is, in bright sun is painful on the eyes

From personal experience, rounded near mirrored surfaces present little problems. My bike has no such issues as even the tank/airbox directly below my eyes does not flash me. The curves defuse the light being reflected. Flat surfaces are horrible. I had a tiny 1/2 inch wide flat polished surface on my instrument cluster that could catch the light and was awful. I quickly powder coated over that surface. The CT polished or mirrored would be hellish on bystanders or other drivers and could likely be illegal.

Not sure if polished stainless will be all that big of a deal. I've seen some pretty shiny (polished) stainless steel milk trucks around and have not noticed any trails of death and destruction behind them.

With that said, I personally plan on keeping my CT at it's factory finish.

Personally I’ll be looking for the all natural look. It will be provided over time by the rocks and trees as I drive off-road.

I agree, I am even a little excited over the fact that my early reservation may have some defects, as long as its nothing major I will leave it be. Add some character
