I didn't see this posted anywhere else, but thought it was worth the discussion. Someone tell Elon to get a driver prepped! Tesla can't be showed up by Rivian and they say their going and they have champion drivers.

Rebel Rally, Oct 8 - 17, 2020

Pretty awesome that they are staging "rapid chargers" chargers for this event.
Would be even awesomer if a CT showed up to participate.

Elon Musk said that Tesla was going to run the CT in the Baja rally (I do not recall whether the 500 or 1000). That is held in October isn’t it? If they are, and there is only 1 CT, then maybe they couldn’t participate in this rally. I am just guessing here.

Looks like Baja is Sept 28 - Oct 3. Rebelle Rally is Oct 8 - 17. Close dates but not quite the same. Battery Day is Sept 22. Hoping for CT news at all 3 events.

I do not know how much prep is required for an event like that. I don’t think it is as simple as driving to two events. I bet there are months of planning involved, getting or training qualified drivers, tweaking the suspension for the trail, ...anyway, there hasn’t been a peep about unit from Tesla for some time.

I agree, and I don't think the CT will be at either event which is a bit disappointing.

It's preparing for any trade show, I imagine.

Except that the trade show takes place on mud, and requires a lot of camping gear.

Yeah, I can see how that would be a distraction when you're being flogged through the Silicon Valley stretch goal gauntlet.

Even if it was just a static display with them holding a raffle for charity for 4 rides a day in the CyberTruck... even around some simple camp grounds or what have you, would be killer.
