Single rear casting will cause Cybertruck to be more easily totaled in accident?

I was wondering if the single piece rear body casting will cause the truck to be totaled if damaged in an accident. Sounds like a great idea for production and stability but would it be prohibitive to replace? I know they are implementing this on other models now.

There was recently something I saw that said how easily cars are considered a total loss and I don’t think this is something you should concern yourself with, because if that story was true any major damage is a total.

The megacasting is designed with segments that can be replaced in the event of collision damage.

If the parts that the megacasting is replaced were to be damaged, the vehicle would be called a loss anyhow. Damage to the passenger protection module in a vehicle is very hard to get repaired... Not that it's impossible, just that no one will take the liability for doing it.
