Greetings,
Has anyone posted how much weight can sit on the tailgate when it is down?

No actual numbers that I'm aware of. But they did drive a quad on it. it looks like there's another setting have it horizontal like a traditional trucks. I would assume its strong enough to jump on. Or load a motorcycle in without the built in ramp.

I have no idea how the mechanism hold it up though ?

If it acts as a loading ramp, I assume 1,000lbs plus.

Good question. Most tailgates are held up by steel cables. It not sure how this design would hold up over time. I can’t find weight ratings for any traditional truck tailgates either.
