At the same time, by accepting an offer from Austin, this would automatically include a deal to allow sales in Texas, two birds with one stone, yes?

In that case, it would make sense to build there. A lot of trucks are sold in Texas and Texas pride could help ensure the popularity of the CT. On the other hand, I can see Elon being vindictive and just putting the factory somewhere else. He'd never say that was the reason because it would cost a lot of Texas sales but he'd know it.

I just can't see Tesla rewarding Texas for not letting them sell cars there by putting in a factory that will earn Texas a lot of money. I mean, I'm a little more vindictive than that. Let me set my factory up in a State that was pro-Tesla.

Honestly, I agree with you. Im hoping you're wrong, but it is just crazy that you can't buy a Tesla in Texas. Im ashamed of the backwards thinking. Ugh.

I think it’s going to be somewhere along Interstate 10 west of Houston if it’s not near Boca Chica where the Space X launch pad resides. The factory isn’t going to need a workforce as large as Fremont. If Space X is looking to compete for US Space Force contracts with Boeing he might choose San Antonio with all its Air Force bases.

UPDATE: The same channel just posted another video about a possible ALREADY UNDER CONSTRUCTION logistics center and this makes too much sense to ignore.

Excellent video posted today that points out the same area that I mentioned in an earlier post, but in his analysis he points to the south side of the highway and I believe the north side is the area that I indicated. It's essentially the same general area, just different sides of a highway and both are just vast swaths of farmland (mainly cotton and/or corn is all I've ever seen growing on either side), with one having a rail line on it. I've been wondering lately, since seeing Tesla use rail to get materials to it's GigaBerlin site for construction, that maybe the south side would be better and sure enough this video perfectly outlines that and a whole lot more!
