If the CT is built in Texas would it not make logical sense to fill orders closest to the assembly plant?

Sorry to rain on the Rose Bowl parade folks, just thinking in my idle time and to stir the pot.

<selfish response> No, Californian orders must be fulfilled first. Specifically, southern California. Or, I will pick up in Texas via scheduled work trip and drive back. </sr>

Personally, it's one of those " good news, bad news" things for me. Now I have to tighten up my game and fatten up the piggy bank. The heat is on.

I hear you can rent a Post Office Box in Fort Stockton pretty cheap to show a TEXAS address.;)

OP's question obviously is meant as a "joke"; however, (as a Texan) I hope they fill one truck per person initially. I want to get my one 3M truck before another person gets a 2M *and* a 3M truck. I think my 70K place in line might become 120K in line otherwise.

I hear you. I am currently sitting patiently at 129,000 from the front of the train. But what if, you are "regionally" bumped to the front of the line if they are assembled in your backyard.

I shouldn't be regionally bumped unless Tesla tells a person ahead of me their truck is ready and that person says (somehow), "sorry, it's too far away--hold it for me."

I think they should fill orders North to South. I may not be first to get one that way, but I would be in the top 10 to get it. I do live beside the Texas of Canada.

That does it, I am driving by everyone’s house when order is filled. You should wait outside now.

Save money on a cooler and ice, great idea, very economical. Red Green would be proud.
