does a 30x stainless steel bed not require a bed liner like normal trucks? It’s a must on a traditional truck bed as they start rusting as soon as they get scratched.

I'm extremely curious what peoples experiences are going to be on how the bed holds up and how hauling things in the bed holds up and also the dynamic of how things might tend to slide around without that texturized surface that is a bed liner.. I've never had a truck bed without lining, so when this truck comes out without lining I will be anxiously awaiting the real world experiences people have with it and the items they haul.

bed liners, at least here in CA arent really needed, more of just "if you want". im sure the bed will be able to take tons of abuse.
I worked with guys who abuse there work trucks, the beds r dented and beat to shit. that dosnt stop them from laoding bricks in it everyday.

but I also know guys who rhinoline the bed and literally use the truck for commuting and occasional camping trips.

to each there own.
BUT spray on liner with the "T slots" might be a problem

I want to be able to throw crap in the bed like I've done with all my other lined truck beds and not worry about dents or scratches that instantly age the truck and also turn into rust. The stainless aspect may give me that. I would definitely just line it if it weren't for the T slots based on my past experiences. I wouldn't, however, want to lose the functionality of the t slots.. I also haven't had the advantage in any other truck bed of super strong, dent, scratch, and rust resistant stainless for the bed material. That might make the necessity of lining a bed to preserve its integrity a relic of the past but I'm going to rely on reviews to help me out. I'm pretty far down the reservation list so it's gonna give me time to learn from the early recipients.

Seems silly to put a bedliner on the Cybertruck. It's... stainless steel. Ain't nothin gonna happen to it!

I am sure Tesla will offer a rubberized bed mat that will drop right in.

Cybertruck doesn’t have t slots - close up pictures show it’s a rubber grip to prevent loads from sliding

Would you care to post them? I haven’t seen many good closeups.

Yes I plan on having a bed mat. I have one in my taco and it's super helpful to pull the mat and unload all the crap. Cut it myself from a Ford one since there wasnt one for Tacoma. It's helpful that the Tacoma wheel wells extend to the front wall. Next time I will cut the mat long so it folds up the tail gate covering the gap. ( Hopefully CT doesn't have the gap) and put handle holes in the mat.

I have to agree with k doc. The lines in the bed extend over the under bed storage lid. Why would the lid have t-slots?

Im not disagreeing with K Doc, I just havent seen any good close up photos. Rubber lines make more sense to me as well, that is pretty much the main reason why i like rhino liner.. it keeps your stuff from sliding around!

If those are rubberized inserts in the vault floor and tailgate, I like the Cybertruck even more.
